Lies , lies & bundle of lies

Wendy Doniger has written a book on Hinduism "The Hindu"(in the year 2009). Penguin is the publisher. A small group( who has read the book) dint like the portrayal and misinterpretation of Hindus in it and took the case to court . Due to some erroneous reason (I would say unknown reason) the case was settled outside the court and Penguin decided to withdraw all the books printed so far under the title "The Hindu".

But look at the media- Hate is filled so much so against Hindus and their culture that without even examining the case properly they started reporting that due to Hindu right wing pressure Penguin withdrew the books . One even reached to the extent of saying that Modi has some role in this...

Twitter as usual a turf for pseudo intellectuals was flooded with messages condoning the book ban. which in first place was voluntarily withdrawal.

Anti Hindu Vaidrajan of  Hindu newspaper allegedly said on twitter that he will not give Penguin the rights to publish his upcoming book in the protest of its decision.

One moron on NDTV was saying that it is killing of creativity ,idiot thinks that portraying Hindu woman & God as sex starved is not creativity but a mental syndrome of a writer.

There are another set of journalists who got overjoyed as soon as Ban & Hindu two words came together ..she was even planning to come up with a new program on that ..but thankfully late in the evening some of tweetarati( obs anti national Hindu) also informed her that "Boss" its voluntarily withdrawal not a ban of the book.

But I think another blow has been stuck to our Hindu identity as some news channels are repeatedly showing Rushdie photos while discussing the case. They are trying to draw a parallel between the two cases when there is none.

As Rajeev srinivasan right said: Wendy Doniger's book was NOT banned. There were NO book burnings. There were NO riots. The author was NOT sent death threats. On the contrary, the plaintiffs pursued due process. The case is a textbook example of how to proceed with civilised, democratic dissent
